We were recently called to investigate a Fisher & Paykel upright freezer that was no longer cooling effectively. Several possible faults were considered, including a malfunctioning potentiometer, a faulty control module, or a refrigerant issue.
To pinpoint the cause, we tested the temperature at the evaporator’s inlet and outlet pipes with the wire fan disconnected. The significant temperature difference between the two points clearly indicated a loss of refrigerant.
With an accurate diagnosis in place, we advised the customer on the necessary next steps for repair. Identifying the root cause early helps ensure efficient and cost-effective solution, another example of how a methodical approach delivers results.
